Second Suspect Arrested in Quezon City Hotel Killing
Authorities have arrested the second suspect involved in the killing of a man inside a Quezon City hotel, officials reported. The suspect, identified as “Michael,” was apprehended early Saturday morning in Bulacan, following a tip from another detained suspect.
Police Operation Leads to Arrest
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) confirmed that Michael was found at a hotel along San Roque Road in San Rafael town. His location was disclosed by “James,” the first suspect who was arrested late Friday afternoon, sources said.
During the arrest operation, a room attendant known as “Anthony” tried to interfere with the police efforts. As a result, he was also taken into custody, the authorities explained.
Evidence Recovered from Suspects
Further investigation led police to recover the motorcycle used by the suspects to flee the crime scene. The vehicle was found Saturday morning in Barangay Lapidario, Trece Martires City, Cavite, community members noted.
Suspects’ Background and Charges
Records show that Michael has prior cases related to the violation of Republic Act 9262, known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act, and Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, both filed in October 2022, officials reported.
James and Michael are set to face charges for robbery with homicide and carnapping. Meanwhile, Anthony will be charged with obstruction of justice. Local authorities continue to monitor the case closely.
