Security Guard Shoots Baker Over Gate Pass Payment in Laguna
SANTA ROSA CITY, Laguna – In a tragic incident early Sunday, a 26-year-old baker was fatally shot by a security guard over gate pass payment issues inside a subdivision in Barangay Malitlit. The victim, identified as Aldrin, was driving his tricycle after dropping off his co-workers when the confrontation took place.
According to sources, the gate pass payment dispute between Aldrin and the security guard escalated before the shooting. Ronald, 30, the alleged assailant, suddenly appeared and fired a single shot at the back of Aldrin’s head.
Eyewitness Account and Immediate Response
A nearby security officer, Rommel, 43, witnessed the entire event and quickly reported it to the barangay officials. Emergency responders rushed Aldrin to Santa Rosa Community Hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival.
The suspect immediately fled the scene and remains at large, prompting a police manhunt to bring him to justice.
Background of Conflict
Co-workers of Aldrin shared that the victim often had heated arguments with the security personnel over gate pass fees whenever he entered the subdivision. These ongoing disputes likely contributed to the tragic confrontation.
Local authorities continue to investigate the case and urge anyone with information to come forward. The community mourns the loss of a young life cut short over a preventable conflict.
