Meanwhile, a low-pressure area (LPA) located off the Visayas region has a medium chance of evolving into a tropical depression, meteorologists noted. As of 10 a.m., the LPA was positioned about 950 kilometers east-northeast of Eastern Visayas, signaling the need for vigilance in nearby areas.
Hundreds Stranded at Ports Due to Severe Weather
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported that severe weather conditions have left hundreds stranded at various ports nationwide. By 4 a.m., approximately 278 passengers, truck drivers, and cargo helpers were stuck at 23 different ports as travel disruptions persist.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, urging the public to stay updated and exercise caution during this period of unstable weather.
