Shabu Seizure from High-Value Individual in Quezon City
Authorities seized shabu worth P3,438,760 from a high-value individual during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tandang Sora, Quezon City, last May 22. The Quezon City Police District’s Drug Enforcement Unit led the operation, which took place in the afternoon.
Officials identified the suspect as a 22-year-old resident of Barangay Culiat, known only as “Abdul.” The arrest happened around 2:55 p.m., carried out in coordination with the national drug enforcement agency and local police units.
Details of the Operation and Arrest
According to reports, the police officer acted undercover as a buyer and successfully purchased P41,000 worth of shabu from Abdul. This transaction led directly to the suspect’s arrest. During the operation, authorities recovered a total of 505.7 grams of shabu along with drug-related paraphernalia.
Following his arrest, Abdul faced charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. This law governs the control and regulation of illegal drugs in the country.
