The towns of Calumpit and Balagtas in Bulacan have been placed under a state of calamity following continuous rains, high tides, and dam water releases that triggered severe flooding. This state of calamity declaration aims to speed up relief efforts and rehabilitation for affected residents.
In Calumpit, Mayor Lem Faustino issued Resolution No. 85-2025, declaring the state of calamity after all 29 barangays experienced flooding. Water levels reached as high as six feet in some areas, causing widespread disruption.
