– Cagayan: Abulug, Aparri, Ballesteros, Buguey, Calayan, Claveria, Pamplona, Sanchez-Mira, and Santa Praxedes.
– Zambales: Botolan, Cabangan, Candelaria, Iba, Masinloc, Olongapo City, Palauig, San Antonio, San Felipe, San Narciso, Santa Cruz, and Subic.
Safety Measures and Current Typhoon Status
Officials strongly advise residents to avoid coastal areas, suspend maritime activities, and relocate to higher ground to ensure safety. “A moderate to high risk of storm surge may occur within the next 24 hours,” sources said in the latest advisory.
Typhoon Emong was last tracked over the coastal waters of Burgos, Pangasinan. It continues to bring strong winds of up to 120 kilometers per hour, with gusts reaching 165 kilometers per hour, moving slowly eastward.
