Breakthrough in Robbery-Rape Case in Pasay
Authorities have made significant progress in the robbery-rape case involving 13 massage therapists in Pasay City. The Philippine National Police (PNP) confirmed that one of the suspects was apprehended in Albay, marking a crucial development in the investigation of this harrowing crime.
“We have a breakthrough in that investigation with the taking into custody of one of the suspects in that case,” Acting PNP Chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. stated during a press briefing at Camp Crame on Monday.
Suspects Identified and One in Custody
Sources familiar with the case identified the suspects as “Ashley” and “Jared,” both 23-year-old males. Officials reported that Jared voluntarily surrendered to authorities in Albay early Monday morning. He was reportedly in the province to participate in a billiards tournament.
Meanwhile, law enforcement is actively conducting follow-up operations to locate Ashley, who remains at large.
Details of the Incident in Pasay City
The incident took place early last Friday morning inside a residential unit located on Cabrera Street, Barangay 140, Pasay City. Community members said the two male suspects forcibly entered the premises and, without provocation, threatened the victims with a firearm. They ordered the 13 massage therapists to lie face down while robbing them of their possessions.
According to the police report, the suspects stole 12 mobile phones and approximately P119,000 in cash.
Victims’ Ages and Sensitive Information
In a separate report from the Southern Police District, officials noted that the youngest victim was 20 years old, while the oldest was 33. Among the victims, two women, both aged 22, were sexually assaulted during the crime.
Out of respect for the ongoing investigation, authorities have requested that the victims’ identities remain confidential.

Law enforcement continues to pursue all leads to apprehend the second suspect and bring justice to the victims. Local leaders expressed their support for the victims and emphasized the importance of swift action in such cases.
