Taguig Police Seize Suspected Shabu Worth P1.36 Million
Authorities confiscated suspected shabu (crystal meth) valued at P1.36 million during a drug buy-bust operation in Taguig City, sources said. The operation led to the arrest of three individuals, including a criminology student, an e-bike driver, and another suspect.
The buy-bust took place last Friday night at a hotel on Manuel L. Quezon Road in Barangay New Lower Bicutan, local leaders noted. The Southern Police District reported the successful sting on Saturday.
Details of the Arrested Suspects and Seized Items
Police identified the suspects as “Jhon Carlo,” a 21-year-old criminology student; “Tol,” a 21-year-old unemployed male; and “Arnold,” a 40-year-old e-bike driver. According to the report, Tol was found with 100 grams of suspected shabu, buy-bust money, and an Android phone. Meanwhile, John Carlo and Arnold each had 50 grams of the suspected drug.
All three are now facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Dangerous Drugs Act. Authorities continue to investigate the case as part of their ongoing campaign against illegal drugs.
