High-Value Target Nabbed in Valenzuela

In Barangay Karuhatan, Valenzuela City, officers arrested a 38-year-old man identified only as “JR” in the early hours of Saturday. The suspect handed an undercover cop a sachet of suspected shabu during a sting, which led to the recovery of two additional sachets totaling about 25 grams. These drugs have an estimated street value of ₱170,000.

Along with the narcotics, police found marked money, a black coin purse, and drug paraphernalia on the suspect. He now faces charges under Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

Additional Arrests in Malabon and Caloocan

In Malabon City’s Barangay San Agustin, a 38-year-old jeepney barker known as “Noneng” was detained on Friday night. Police caught him inspecting a sachet of shabu, recovering approximately 0.5 grams valued at ₱3,400.

Meanwhile, Caloocan City authorities arrested a 33-year-old construction worker named “Joie” in Barangay 178 shortly after 1:45 a.m. on Saturday. Responding to reports of a man wielding a knife during an argument, officers found Joie with a butterfly knife and 1.4 grams of suspected shabu, worth about ₱9,520.

All three suspects are now in police custody and undergoing inquest proceedings.

Police Reaffirm Commitment to Drug War

Police Brig. Gen. Jerry V. Protacio, acting director of the Northern Police District, praised the recent operations. He reiterated the district’s unwavering dedication to justice and public safety.

“This arrest demonstrates our unrelenting commitment to justice and public safety. Our operatives, along with our partner agencies, continue to work tirelessly to locate and apprehend individuals who attempt to evade the law,” Protacio said.
