Taguig Police Nabbed No. 1 Most Wanted in NCR
The Taguig police successfully arrested a man identified as the No. 1 most wanted person in the National Capital Region (NCR) for murder. Alias Gerardo, 30, a resident of South Signal, Taguig, was caught on June 12 in Triumph at FTI, Barangay Western Bicutan. This arrest resulted from a coordinated operation by the Taguig police’s Warrant and Subpoena and Intelligence Sections.
Gerardo is wanted in connection with a murder case and faces charges under Republic Act 10591 for illegal possession of firearms. The warrant of arrest, which carries no bail, was issued on May 2 by acting Presiding Judge Abraham Joseph Alcantara of the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 266.

Intelligence reports also link Gerardo to a notorious carnapping group responsible for several car thefts across Metro Manila during the second quarter of 2025. Authorities believe his arrest will help disrupt the operations of this criminal group.
Currently, Gerardo remains detained at the Taguig police’s custodial facility while awaiting the return of the arrest warrant to court. Brigadier General Joseph Arguelles, the acting district director of the Southern Police District, praised the Taguig police for their diligent work in apprehending the suspect.
