Thirty-one suspected supporters arrested in Abra
Thirty-one suspected supporters of rival groups were arrested in Barangay Laskig, Pidigan, Abra, after a tip-off from a concerned citizen. The Northern Luzon Command reported that the military acted swiftly on the information about armed men spotted in the area last Saturday.
Military intercepts vehicles and seizes firearms
The military intercepted six vehicles, leading to the arrest of ten individuals. During the operation, authorities recovered several high-powered firearms, including four M16 rifles, one Bushmaster rifle, and five .45 caliber pistols. Meanwhile, a separate operation apprehended the remaining 21 suspects and uncovered two illegally held .45 caliber pistols.
All 31 suspects are now in the custody of the Pidigan Municipal Police Station. They will undergo further investigation and face appropriate legal action as the case develops.
