Three Alleged Armed Drug Pushers Arrested in Batangas Province
LUCENA CITY — Authorities arrested three alleged armed drug pushers in Batangas province on July 1 and 2, local sources said. The police’s drug enforcement unit in Lipa City apprehended two suspects, known only as “Billy” and “Adonis,” after they sold P1,500 worth of shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover agent in Barangay Anilao Proper at 4:05 p.m. on Tuesday.
Police reported that the suspects were found with two heat-sealed plastic sachets containing about 9.70 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of around P65,960. Additionally, the men carried an unlicensed .9mm pistol loaded with five bullets.
Investigators also seized a Toyota Corolla sedan believed to have been used in their illegal operations, along with a mobile phone that may contain evidence of drug transactions. Authorities identified both men as street-level drug pushers operating in the area.
Additional Arrest in Tanauan City Drug Sting
Meanwhile, in Tanauan City, police arrested another suspect named “Randy” during a drug sting in Barangay Bañadero at 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday. Like the others, Randy is considered a street-level pusher.
He was reportedly found with one sachet of suspected shabu valued at approximately P34,000 and an unlicensed .38 caliber revolver loaded with ammunition, sources said.
All three suspects remain in police custody and will face charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as well as for illegal possession of firearms.
