Three People Die in Separate Road Crashes in Bicol
Three people lost their lives in separate road accidents on Wednesday in Camarines Sur and Camarines Norte. Authorities reported that the incidents unfolded in different towns across the Bicol region.
In Buhi town, Camarines Sur, a 29-year-old man identified only as “Rosano” was riding his motorcycle late at night when he collided with a parked tricycle in Barangay Lourdes at 11:55 p.m. Sources said the impact threw him more than six meters away, causing severe injuries to his head and body. Unfortunately, he died en route to the hospital.
Fatal Crash in Camarines Norte
Meanwhile, in Labo town, Camarines Norte, a tragic accident occurred around midday. A 54-year-old woman and her 4-year-old granddaughter were passengers on a tricycle when an ambulance struck the vehicle in Barangay Bulhao at 12:10 p.m. Local officials confirmed both victims sustained critical injuries and later died after being rushed to a hospital in Daet town.
The tricycle driver was also injured but survived. Authorities reported that no one inside the ambulance was hurt during the collision.
Investigation Underway
Police Chief Major John Villafuerte of Labo police stated that the ambulance driver is currently under police custody as the investigation continues. Officials are looking into the details surrounding the crash to determine the circumstances that led to the fatalities.
