The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) warns residents to brace for moderate to heavy rains accompanied by lightning and strong winds.
This weather disturbance will not only affect Metro Manila but also extend to nearby provinces. Areas forecasted to experience these conditions include Zambales, Bataan, Rizal, Laguna, Batangas, and Cavite.
Provinces Facing Moderate to Heavy Showers
According to information from local authorities, the following provinces are expected to have moderate to heavy rain showers along with thunder and strong winds: Zambales, Bataan, Rizal, Laguna, Batangas, and Cavite.
Heavy to Intense Rainfall in Specific Locations
Meanwhile, more intense rain showers with lightning and strong gusts are currently affecting several municipalities. These include areas in Quezon such as General Nakar, Panukulan, and Tayabas; parts of Bulacan including Dona Remedios Trinidad and San Jose del Monte; Tarlac’s San Jose and Tarlac City; Pampanga’s Magalang; and Nueva Ecija’s Laur and Gabaldon.
Residents in these zones are urged to remain vigilant and prepare for potential hazards. Flash floods and landslides remain significant risks due to the ongoing heavy rainfall, Pagasa advised in a 2:25 p.m. bulletin.
