The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued a thunderstorm advisory at 7:23 a.m., warning residents of moderate to heavy rain showers accompanied by lightning and strong winds within the next two hours.
Areas Under Thunderstorm Advisory
The thunderstorm advisory includes Metro Manila, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Cavite, and Batangas. Residents in these zones should remain alert as weather conditions are expected to intensify shortly.

These conditions may persist for up to two hours and could spread to adjacent areas.
Safety Precautions Urged Amid Flash Flood Risks
Authorities advised all residents in affected regions to take precautionary measures against hazards linked to these storms, notably flash floods and landslides. “All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” community officials emphasized.
Weather Patterns Across the Philippines
According to a 5 a.m. weather briefing, a weather specialist noted that easterlies—warm winds from the Pacific Ocean—are currently influencing Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao. He added that Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will generally experience fair weather during the day.
Meanwhile, rains in the Visayas and Mindanao are expected to be brief. However, thunderstorm clouds may bring occasional showers in the late afternoon and evening hours, officials reported.
Stay Updated and Stay Safe
Given the evolving weather situation, community members are encouraged to monitor updates regularly and heed local advisories to ensure their safety.
