More Luzon Areas Under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal

Authorities have raised the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 over more parts of Luzon as Tropical Depression Crising moves closer to the Philippine landmass. This development signals that the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal is now affecting a wider region, prompting residents and local officials to stay alert and prepare for changing weather conditions.

According to meteorological sources, Crising is currently generating winds reaching up to 55 kilometers per hour with gusts as strong as 70 kph. The system is steadily moving west-northwest at a speed of 30 kilometers per hour, intensifying as it approaches the country.

Crising’s Path and Forecast

Crising was last tracked approximately 335 kilometers northeast of Virac, Catanduanes, and about 545 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora. Meteorological authorities expect the tropical depression to make landfall in mainland Cagayan by Friday evening.

Furthermore, the system might strengthen into a tropical storm by late Thursday night or early Friday morning. Local officials are closely monitoring the situation and have advised residents in the affected areas to stay updated and take necessary precautions.
