Tropical Depression Fabian Leaves Philippine Area
Tropical Depression Fabian has officially left the Philippine area of responsibility, transforming into a low-pressure area (LPA), local meteorological sources said. This change occurred early Saturday morning, signaling a shift in weather dynamics for the region.
At 1 a.m., Fabian exited the Philippine area of responsibility, and by 2 a.m., it weakened into an LPA, authorities reported. The remnant system was last located about 365 kilometers west of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.
Path and Impact of the Low-Pressure Area
According to the weather agency, the weakened system will continue moving west-northwestward across the West Philippine Sea. Fortunately, this low-pressure area is not expected to directly influence the country’s weather or sea conditions in the coming days.
Residents and maritime operators are advised to maintain vigilance, but no significant disturbances linked to the LPA are anticipated. The Philippine weather bureau continues to monitor the system for any changes.
