Tropical Depression Isang is currently within the vicinity of Maddela, Quirino, officials reported on Friday afternoon. According to meteorological sources, Tropical Depression Isang is expected to traverse Northern Luzon within the next 12 hours, emerging over the West Philippine Sea by Friday evening. Officials reported that the system may intensify into a tropical storm by Saturday morning and could develop into a severe tropical storm as it approaches the waters south of Hainan, China.
Pagasa also cautioned that intensification into a tropical storm might occur earlier than anticipated, possibly within hours after the depression moves over the West Philippine Sea.
