In Barangay Mangero, San Andres town, a man known only as “Jessie” went swimming alone around 2 p.m. after a drinking session with friends. While in the water, strong currents pulled him away, dragging him into deeper parts of the river. Despite an immediate search by his companions, Jessie’s body was found hours later washed ashore in Barangay Pansoy. Authorities believe drowning was the cause of death.
Three-Year-Old Girl Found Floating in Panukulan
Meanwhile, in Barangay San Juan, Panukulan town, a heartbreaking incident unfolded when a three-year-old girl named “Neriah” was found floating in the seawater behind her home on Sunday morning. Her mother discovered her and rushed her to the municipal health center, but sadly, Neriah was declared dead on arrival. Police have classified both cases as drowning incidents. However, Neriah’s remains will undergo a post-mortem examination to confirm the exact cause of death.
