Buy-Bust Operation Nets Two High-Value Drug Pushers
Two high-value drug pushers were apprehended during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tandang Sora, Quezon City, on the night of May 21. This operation targeted illegal drug activities and resulted in a significant seizure.
The suspects, known by their aliases “Fahad,” 22, and “Romel,” 18, both residents of Barangay Culiat in Quezon City, were caught in the act. Sources familiar with the matter reported that the police conducted the operation at Florville Extension around 10:41 p.m.
Details of the Quezon City Buy-Bust Operation
A police officer acted as a poseur-buyer, purchasing shabu worth P75,000 from the suspects to facilitate their arrest. Following this, authorities recovered a total of 301.06 grams of shabu, valued at approximately P2,047,208, along with a cellular phone and the buy-bust money.
Local experts indicate that the suspects will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. These charges will be filed before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
This latest bust highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat illegal drug trade in the area, aiming to reduce the influence of high-value drug pushers in Quezon City.
