Two Injured as Fire Rages in Barangay Tunasan Home
Two people were hurt when a fire swept through a house in Barangay Tunasan, Muntinlupa on June 13. The Muntinlupa City Fire Station reported that the blaze began around 10 p.m. in a two-story residence located on St. Cecile Street, Phase 2, Sto. Niño Village.
Firefighters quickly responded, raising the first alarm at 10:08 p.m. and successfully extinguishing the fire by 11 p.m. The two injured were identified as a 21-year-old fire volunteer who suffered a cut on his right thumb, and a 29-year-old fire station staff member who sustained a puncture wound on his right palm.
Emergency Response and Investigation Underway
The Muntinlupa City Department of Disaster Resilience and Management also dispatched personnel to assist in controlling the fire. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
Four fire trucks and two ambulances responded to the scene, ensuring immediate medical and firefighting support. Local leaders noted the swift action of emergency teams helped prevent further injuries and damage.
