Two Men Die in Motorcycle Collision in Barangay Tejero
CEBU CITY – Two men tragically lost their lives in a motorcycle collision in Barangay Tejero on the morning of June 6. The accident, reported at 8:30 a.m., involved two motorcycles and was caught on CCTV, revealing critical details of the crash.
The two men who died were identified by authorities as Bugsy Nadal Quilestino, 18, and Alvin Gargar Dilao, 35. Both riders were involved in a fatal crash that shocked the local community.
Sequence of the Collision
According to local sources, the accident took place as a private car was turning left. Dilao, driving a Suzuki Raider, appeared from behind the vehicle and also attempted to make a left turn. Meanwhile, Quilestino, driving a Kawasaki Fury at high speed, did not notice Dilao’s maneuver.
The motorcycles collided forcefully, causing both riders to be thrown onto the concrete pavement. The impact was severe, and emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene.
Aftermath and Emergency Response
Dilao was immediately rushed to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center and later transferred to Cebu Doctors’ Hospital, where he was declared dead. Quilestino was pronounced dead at Cebu City Medical Center shortly after the incident.
Local authorities continue to investigate the accident, reviewing the CCTV footage and gathering witness accounts to understand what led to this tragic event. Community members expressed their condolences and urged for increased road safety measures.
