Family ties and election details in Davao City
Also listed as voters at DRANHS was her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, who is running for mayor in Davao City. Despite his candidacy, Rodrigo Duterte is currently detained at Scheveningen Prison in The Hague, Netherlands. He faces charges of crimes against humanity related to extrajudicial killings during his administration’s controversial war on drugs.
Interestingly, the former president’s running mate for Eleksyon 2025 is his son, Sebastian “Baste” Duterte, the current city mayor. This family connection highlights the continuing political influence of the Dutertes in Davao City.
