VP Sara Duterte Votes Early in Davao City
Vice President Sara Duterte exercised her right to vote early Monday morning in the 2025 midterm elections in her hometown of Davao City. She arrived at Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School (DRANHS) in Barangay Matina Crossing just after 8 a.m.
Wearing a black polo shirt, VP Sara cast her ballot inside cluster precinct number 352. She made a heartfelt appeal earlier, urging Filipinos to vote for the right candidates this election day. “Iniibig ko ang Pilipinas. Iniibig ko kayong mga Pilipino. This election will decide the future of our country,” she said.
“Ang boto ninyo ang magbibigay katiyakan kung maituloy ang pagbabago o tuloy-tuloy na lang tayo sa kapahamakan,” she added.
Key Figures at the Polling Site
Among the voters at DRANHS was also VP Sara’s father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, who is running for mayor of Davao City. Notably, he remains detained at Scheveningen Prison in The Hague, Netherlands, facing charges related to crimes against humanity connected to his war on drugs campaign.
Meanwhile, his running mate in this election is his son, incumbent city mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte.
As the nation votes, VP Sara’s early ballot and strong message highlight the importance of this election in shaping the Philippines’ future.
