Woman’s Body Found Floating at Fishpond in Bulacan
BULAKAN, Bulacan – The body of a woman was found floating at a fishpond in a coastal village here around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, local leaders noted. The discovery shocked residents and authorities alike.
According to Rosario Mariano of the Bulakan Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, fishermen and nearby residents spotted the woman’s body in the Kakayasan fishpond area near the Taliptip River, which feeds into the Bocaue River.
Authorities Investigate Identity
Bulakan police are currently awaiting results from the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit to confirm the victim’s identity. Officials estimate the woman to be between 35 and 40 years old. They hope this will shed light on the circumstances surrounding her death.
Meanwhile, authorities are also investigating whether the body matches a woman reported missing in Caloocan City amid recent flooding caused by heavy rains. Investigations are ongoing as local officials seek answers.
