The suspects attempted to evade law enforcement by fleeing a checkpoint in Barangay Rio Hondo but were quickly arrested after a brief chase, sources said. The meth was cleverly concealed in four ice chests, packed inside Chinese tea bags to avoid detection.

This massive seizure follows another significant bust over a week ago when authorities confiscated 67 kilograms of suspected methamphetamine in Barangay Bunguiao. That haul was valued at approximately P455.6 million and involved two suspects transporting drugs outside the city limits, community members said.
