PAGADIAN CITY — In a shocking event late Thursday night, Zamboanga del Sur provincial information officer Jeesrel Himang was fatally shot by his aide during a heated argument. The incident occurred at a beach resort in Barangay Ambulon, Vincenzo Sagun town.
According to local authorities, Himang, who lived in Barangay Kawit, Pagadian City, was drinking with his personal escort, Reymond Antifuelo Lopecillo, a resident of Barangay Bibilop, Midsalip town. The two reportedly engaged in a heated dispute after Lopecillo became intoxicated.

Police reports revealed that during the altercation, Lopecillo pulled out a .45 caliber handgun and fired four shots at Himang. The bullets struck him in the nose, twice in the abdomen, and once in the right arm. Sources said the violence erupted suddenly, leaving the victims severely wounded.
Another Victim Injured
Aside from Himang, another person named Celgwen Mae Arellano from Tigbao town was also hit by gunfire. Police confirmed she sustained two gunshot wounds on the upper buttocks, with the bullets passing through to her hips. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding her injury.
